Its members know the powerful forces that run through the city, the ancient pacts that protect it, and the boundaries that must never be crossed. They step in when a threat risks upsetting this balance, often far from prying eyes.

More guardians than enforcers, they prefer to maintain the status quo rather than impose it. But the Patrons’ ritual is precisely the kind of upheaval they have sworn to prevent, and it forces them out of the shadows.
