Jezebel's is a former church converted into a pool hall—a perfect symbol of a city where the sacred and the sordid have become intertwined. Beneath the vaults that once echoed with prayers, people now take turns at the pool table and down drinks.

That’s where Infernus serves drinks, behind a counter set up where an altar might once have stood. The place epitomizes the atmosphere of the Cité: nothing is where it used to be, and even the houses of God have found a less respectable second life.
