Paige

Paige
The daughter of a rare book dealer, Paige grew up in a loving home that prioritized kindness, magic, and storytelling. But while Paige took naturally to her parents' values, her little brother Bryce did not. A rebellious teen, Bryce resented not only his family’s saccharine attitude, but also their refusal to let him dabble in magics that they deemed too dangerous. Paige tried everything she could think of to keep him out of trouble, but like most teenagers, the more his big sister tried to tell him what was best for him, the more he turned away. Paige doesn't know what Bryce did to get kicked out of the house...just that she came home from the library to find her brother gone and her parents crying. Days turned to weeks, to months, to years. Paige grew to become a talented bibliomancer, making a living as a storyteller reading at libraries across the five boroughs; and while her parents have remained silent about what happened with Bryce, Paige's obsession with finding him has only grown. She will discover what happened to her brother... and no man or god is going to stand in her way.

Abilities

Bookwyrm
Conjure a dragon that appears at the target location before flying forward, dealing
spirit damage and leaving a burning path in its trail.
Click a tier to preview its effect on the stats.
- •Ability Range increases (e.g. Greater Expansion ) affect both the radius and travel range.
- •If the dragon hits an obstacle, it deflects and travels along the surface until it can return to its initial course.
- •Due to imperfections in geometry this does not always work and the direction may change erratically, especially inside small rooms.
- •Deals damage in 0.3s intervals.
- •Bookwyrm a 0.1s. lingering which means it is possible to receive damage for a short time after leaving the trail.
- •The trail width is slightly smaller than the radius of the ability. This means it's possible to hit an enemy with initial cast but miss applying any "trail burn" on them.

Plot Armor
Grant an ally a barrier . While the barrier holds, they gain bonus weapon damage .
Click a tier to preview its effect on the stats.
- •The barrier can be self-cast.
- •The barrier is not applied instantly: casting launches a homing projectile that applies barrier when it reaches the target.
- •T3 upgrade makes it so that when the barrier projectile reaches its target up to two extra projectiles launch from the target towards the nearest allied heroes.
- •These extra projectiles don't require Line of Sight and can pass through walls.
- •The search radius for allies is 30m. It is not affected by Ability Range increases (e.g. Greater Expansion )
- •If there are not enough ally heroes in radius to receive all extra barriers, one barrier projectile will launch towards Paige. She does not have to be inside search radius for that.
- •Despite extra barriers giving only 75% of the shield, they give 100% bonus to Weapon Damage and Fire Rate.

Captivating Read

slow . The magic detonates after a delay, dealing

Click a tier to preview its effect on the stats.
- •The detonation happens 1.25s after cast.

Release a wave of spectral knights and steeds that charge across the entire city ,
healing allies and dealing
spirit damage to enemies. The strength of the
heal and
spirit damage is amplified as the knights travel further.
Click a tier to preview its effect on the stats.
- •Has half cooldown if it hits no allies or enemies.
- •Paige always gets the positive effects when she casts the ability.
- •The move speed bonus lasts for 9s.
- •The knights are visible as a triangle on the minimap for both allies and enemies.
- •If Paige is aiming upwards on cast, the knights jump on an arc.
- •The knight's banners don't count for their hitbox.
